LAW N° 001/2023 - STATE OF SIEGE/EMERGENCY LAW

The King of Kanindé, using his legal attributions and using the prerogatives royal decrees:

STATE OF SIEGE/EMERGENCY LAW - LAW No. 001/2023

The Constitution of the Kingdom of Kanindé regulates the possibility of declaring a STATE OF SIEGE/EMERGENCY in all Kanindean territory until its revocation by His Majesty Felipe I or by order of the Prime Minister in force.

Art I° The State of Siege must be declared by the King and only him in the following cases:

I - serious commotion of national repercussion or occurrence of facts that prove the ineffectiveness of measures normally taken;

II - declaration of a state of war or response to foreign armed aggression;

III - Armed or unarmed revolts that may escalate to violence against the Kaninde state.

Single paragraph. The Monarch of Kanindé, when requesting authorization to decree the state of siege or its extension, shall report the underlying reasons for the request to the Cabinet of the Prime Minister and the Crown Council for symbolic voting.
